DownFeeds reliability certification

A public, verifiable certificate attesting that a service has been stable and continuously monitored, based on months of independent measurements.

1.

Measured data

The requirements are checked automatically on the measurements DownFeeds collected over the last 90 days: no self-declarations.

2.

Review and issuance

Our staff reviews every request before the first issuance. The certificate is numbered and digitally signed.

3.

Continuous surveillance

For 12 months the requirements are checked every day: the certificate is suspended automatically if they are no longer met.

Certification requirements

A single level, the same rules for everyone. With several services, the weakest one counts.

  • Each service monitored for at least 90 days
  • Availability of at least 99.9% over the last 90 days
  • Continuity of measurements of at least 95%
  • Checks at least every 5m
  • Average response time under 3000 ms
  • HTTPS certificates valid for at least 14 more days
  • No incident open at issuance
  • Availability monitors only (website, API, port, ping, DNS, HTTPS, heartbeat, login)

What it attests, and what it doesn't

It attests facts measured by DownFeeds: availability, continuity of measurements, response times and HTTPS certificates of the services covered, during the observation period and then every day.

It does not assess security, legal compliance or the quality of content, and it is not a promise of future availability: the verification page always shows the current status.

Private attestation issued by the operator of DownFeeds under its own Rules, based on its own measurements. It is not an accredited certification (Regulation (EC) 765/2008) nor an act of a public authority, and it does not guarantee future availability. Certification Rules
